How do pirates talk in Chinese? Do they use 儿化? And are the tones still needed?

@Chris Button, it is usually claimed to be modelled on Robert Newton in Treasure Island (1950). Newton was born in Dorset but grew up in Cornwall and played Long John SIlver with a West Country accent.
