    On youtube I've noticed that it's quite common for short clips to be repeated.

    I think part of the time it's because sometimes the clips are so short they're gone before you're ready, or you want to watch again to be sure you saw/heard what you /thought/ you saw/heard, and part of the time it's simply to fool people into clicking on your posting instead of someone else's, because yours is longer and people think it might have more context, when it's just repeated, not more context.

    At least those are the two reactions I've had to the phenomenon, pleasant surprise when I'm about to click to replay and it plays again on its own, and frustration, when I want more context so click a longer clip, only to feel frustrated and foolish for falling for it, when it's just the same short one repeated.
