Peak peak apparently passed

"Peak peak reached", The Daily Mash 6/2/2014:
THE world is on the cusp of peak exhaustion after hitting peaks in every possible field.
The simultaneous achievement of peak beard, peak box-set, peak 90s reunion nostalgia tour, peak gourmet burger and peak superhero film means that it is downhill from here.

I was going to leave a trenchant comment here, but I guess it's too late.

What next for cusps, then?

Y, I'm afraid we've already hit peak cusps.

So, then, peak's fifteen minutes of fame has jumped the shark?

@Dan we've passed peak trenchantness?

@Mara K — I'm afraid all the evidence (including this instance) points that way.

Only "peak a boo" remains.

It has been looking a trifle peaked.

As long as we still have Peek Frean.

@ Robert: when I was as child in Australia in the 1970s, one of our family's most commonly-eaten was made by Peek Frean(s), and I simply couldn't figure out what that company name meant. After reading Mark's post yesterday I looked it up, and found that they are the surnames of the founders. I rarely by biscuits now, so I don't know if any of their products, or how wide a range, are available here now.

Actually, I haven't seen any Peek Freans (in the NE USA) for many a year.

Remember, we live in a country that still has the 'trial of the century' only about every third year. I doubt we've reached peak peak yet.
