Your typical sentence

Today's xkcd:

Mouseover title: Although the Markov chain-style text model is still rudimentary; it recently gave me "Massachusetts Institute of America". Although I have to admit it sounds prestigious.

Another stage in the victory of the Cybernetic Underground.

Although I have to admit it sounds prestigious.

Is that sentence supposed to sound like the output of a Markov chain as well?

@Sili: Personally, I find "although" a perfectly acceptable opening for an independent clause (as a connective roughly equivalent in function to "however"), and so do quite a few people I know.

I get "I have a look at your book yesterday." as my default sentence. Which I'd say is a typical output for a Markov-style speech generator with no explicit grammar modelling.

@Sili: I'm pretty sure it does, noticing he uses "Although" to start both sentences.

It might be funny for some too since saying "Although it sounds prestigious" right after would also imply that there's something wrong with MIT.

Redditors are having fun posting more examples of default Swiftkey output: 1, 2.

The 'although' makes me think that semi colon should be a comma

The mouseover text looks like idiomatic though not careful-writer American English to me.

Anyway, you're telling me this actually works?

I only started to use this keyboard recently so it hasn't had a real chance to learn much. Hitting the space bar repeatedly gives me an infinite sentence:
"I tried to get the best way to get the best way to get the best way to get the best way to get the….
I'm curious to find out what it comes up with in a month or two.

I'm guessing "…the best way to decypher the meaning of life and key to true happiness is to decypher the meaning of life and key to true happiness is to decypher the meaning of life and key to true happiness is…".

I get "I am a beautiful person". Haha.

The swiftkey on my partner's tablet composed a beautiful tribute to me that is two sentences long and will repeat over and over…
But if I consistently choose the right-hand alternate choice I did get "I am a beautiful", but then a comma instead of "person."
