Giant Bomb E3 Set Porn Bears

« previous post | next post »

Noun pile? Crash Blossom?  We report, you decide… Rollin Bishop, "Quest for Giant Bomb E3 Set Porn Bears Fruit", 6/24/2013:

The Electronic Entertainment Expo — E3 for short — is held in Los Angeles every year, typically in June, and it means that a lot of journalists descend upon the area in short order. This year was no different, and popular gaming site Giant Bomb rented a “professional studio” for some of their coverage. Things got weird, though, and it quickly became apparent that what they were renting was actually the set for a bunch of pornography. Yeah.

As a person who follows both Giant Bomb and Language Log, this is the weirdest "colliding worlds" feeling I've had in a good long while.

And here I was interpreting E3 as an error by the first-baseman.

I love the Japanese pigeon people. I thought for a moment it was another crash blossom with pigeon as a verb, but no, sadly.

My creepy friend who acts like their dog, is a child.

The pigeon people headline at least references something language-related, the pun of a title that is Hatoful Boyfriend. It's a play on Haato ('heart') which is a word one might expect to find in a dating sim. 'Hato' means pigeon, and the game is a pigeon-dating simulation created as a joke. Yet it's also surprisingly a mix of hilarious absurdity and emotional depth.

So they were looking for porn that was filmed on that set and found it? Odd thing to search for.

Michael W, the explanation proffered in the article is that they found a porn script, plus sets which seemed like stereotypical settings for pornography. That would seem to me to be a strong hint that somebody has shot porn there. After that asking people to help find examples of such porn is the sort of curiosity you can afford to have in the Internet age.
