Someone needs a good night's sleep

My latest email from johnmccain.com, sent at 10:18 this evening, starts with four typos in two lines:

(Click on the image for a larger version)

In case you're keeping score at home, the mistakes are "Vicotry" for "Victory", "Mccain" for "McCain", "Rallis" for "Rallies", and "Perksie" for "Perkasie".

I write this, in all humility, as a careless typist, an indifferent speller, and the worst proofreader in the world.

So if even I noticed the mistakes…

[Update 11/1/2008: Apparently a night's sleep didn't help. This evening, I got another email from "McCain-Palin Team <Pennsylvania@johnmccain.com>", whose header indicates that it was sent at 7:11 p.m., with the same mistakes in it. ]

Hmm. I don't get McCain campaign email. For some reason, though, I have recently been getting a lot of spam from gambling web sites and people selling heavy equipment.

Also, the headline’s wording doesn’t strike me as the most felicitous choice either.

They're being run ragged right now. Even here in AZ, the GOP is sending out get out the vote robocalls. They don't usually bother.

Hopefully they can get some sleep come Wednesday.

Apparently, the country's proofreaders are all democrats.
